are your bars suitable for hard water areas?
They are. We test everything at our HQ in Portsmouth (a chalky hard water zone!) to make sure they still do the job.
are your bars safe for keratin-treated hair?
They’re gentle and SLS/SLES-free, but they do contain Sodium Coco-Sulfate (SCS), a milder cleanser from coconut. It’s not as harsh, but it might reduce the longevity of keratin treatments over time. If you’ve had one done, we’d suggest checking with your stylist or using something made specifically for keratin aftercare.
how long will your bars last?
Around 60-80 washes each that's about 8 to 12 weeks depending on how often you wash and how much hair you've got. Keeping them dry between uses also matters and we highly recommend storing them on our drying rack or fast dry dish to maximise their life.
if I'm using the peppermint refresh range how long will it take to see less greasiness?
It depends on your hair type and what you were using before, but most people notice a difference within 2–3 weeks of consistent use.
If greasiness is being driven by a biological shift like pregnancy, menopause or hormonal changes, our bars might not stop it completely (we’re good, but we can’t outsmart biology). What we can do is help you manage it better than most, thanks to our highly effective formulas designed to rebalance your scalp and keep your hair feeling fresh for longer.
Weeks 1-2: Your scalp may still feel just as greasy – totally normal while it adjusts
Week 3-4: You’ll likely go longer between washes, with hair feeling fresher for longer

are your bars okay for sensitive skin?
We keep things gentle and steer clear of harsh chemicals. That said, if you’ve got allergies or sensitivities, do check the ingredients on the product page just to be sure and complete a patch test before using. We highly recommend using our fragrance freedom range if you have sensitive skin due to its minimal yet effective ingredients.
can kids use your bars?
Yes! They’re gentle, free from nasties, and a great option for the whole family (just not pets!)
If your child has very sensitive skin, take a peek at the ingredients first and do a little patch taste for ingredients in our products they may not have encountered before, as allergic reactions can also happen with natural products.
are your bars safe to use while breastfeeding?
They are. No harmful chemicals – just a kind, gentle wash that’s also paraben and phthalate free.
are your bars paraben and phthalate free?
Yes! We don’t use parabens or phthalates in any of our bars. These ingredients are often added to beauty products as preservatives or to help fragrances stick, but they've been linked to hormone disruption and skin irritation. We’d rather leave them out and keep things kind for your body – and the planet.
how should I store my bars to make them last longer?
As they're activated by water keep them dry between uses. Our drying rack and fast dry dish our perfect for it. No soggy puddles here.
will I go through a transition phase when I switch?
Most people don’t! Our bars don’t use traditional soap (which causes that weird waxy feeling). If your old shampoo was loaded with silicones, it might take a few washes to break up with them.
do your bars lather like liquid shampoo?
They do! Loads of lather, no compromise.
are your bars aquatic-safe?
Yep – they’re biodegradable and ocean-friendly. Good for your hair, and kind to the sea.
can I take your bars in hand luggage?
Absolutely. Because they’re solid, they don’t count towards your liquids when flying.
can I use your bars on extensions or wigs?
Yes – they’re gentle and SLS-free, so they’re totally safe for real or synthetic hair.

how long will my delivery take?
Standard UK 48hr Delivery (free) – typically arrives within 2–3 working days (via Royal Mail) after dispatch. If you haven't received your order within 5 working days, please contact us via the contact form below.
First Class UK Delivery – sent via Royal Mail 24 or an equivalent service. While this is a faster service, next-day delivery is not guaranteed.
